AntiSoftlock

AntiSoftlock is a lightweight Paper plugin designed to prevent players from getting trapped in impossible-to-escape situations (softlocks).
It detects common Minecraft traps and exploits, automatically rescuing players or blocking the action before it happens.

Features

  • Nether Roof Protection – Blocks ender pearl teleports above Y=127.
  • Anti-Obsidian/Lava Death Loops – Redirects unsafe respawns to a safe spot.
  • End Portal Bed Guard – Stops setting spawn in portal rooms that trap you in the End.
  • Encase Detection – Cancels ender pearls into sealed 2-block-high cages.
  • Lava Spawn Trap Prevention – Ensures respawns aren’t inside lava pools.
  • Death Loop Watchdog – Detects repeated deaths in the same spot and auto-rescues.
  • /unstuck Command – Lets players safely teleport out of dangerous situations (configurable cooldown).

Commands & Permissions

| Command | Description | Permission |
| ---------- | ------------------------------- | ---------------------- |
| /unstuck | Teleports player to a safe spot | antisoftlock.unstuck |
| (auto) | Bypass all protections | antisoftlock.bypass |

Configuration

  • Toggle each protection individually
  • Enable/disable pearl refunds
  • Adjustable safe respawn scan radius
  • Customize /unstuck cooldown

Why Use It?

Even in a sandbox game like Minecraft, it’s possible for players to become permanently stuck without admin help.
AntiSoftlock ensures your players can always keep playing — no rage-quitting over traps or broken spawns.
