WHAT IS THIS MOD?

Beacon Enchantments is a Minecraft mod that lets you permanently
enchant your armor with powerful beacon-like effects. Instead of
standing near a beacon, you carry the power with you.

THE AUGMENTING TABLE

The core of the mod is the Augmenting Table — a custom crafting
block that lets you roll beacon enchantments onto any piece of
armor. To unlock its full power, you must build a 5-layer pyramid
of iron, gold, diamond, or netherite blocks beneath it (similar
to a beacon structure). Without the pyramid, the table is inert.

Once the pyramid is in place, a glowing gradient beam shoots out
of the table — cycling through cyan, hot pink, and neon purple —
as a visual indicator that the structure is active.

THE CATALYST

Catalysts are the currency of the enchanting process. Each upgrade
attempt consumes one or more catalysts along with experience levels.
Catalysts have an enchantment shimmer, indicating their magical nature.

UPGRADE TYPES

Basic Upgrade — Costs 1 Catalyst + 10 Experience Levels
75% chance of a Tier I enchantment
25% chance of a Tier II enchantment

Advanced Upgrade — Costs 3 Catalysts + 20 Experience Levels
40% chance of a Tier I enchantment
60% chance of a Tier II enchantment

Both upgrade types have a 50% chance of failure. On failure, no
enchantment is applied and 15% of the armor's remaining durability
is removed instead. Choose wisely.

AVAILABLE ENCHANTMENTS

Beacon Speed — Increases movement speed (Tier I / II)
Beacon Haste — Increases mining speed (Tier I / II)
Beacon Resistance — Reduces damage taken (Tier I / II)
Beacon Jump Boost — Increases jump height (Tier I / II)
Beacon Strength — Increases melee damage (Tier I / II)
Beacon Regeneration — Regenerates health over time (Tier I only)

Enchantments are mutually exclusive — only one beacon enchantment
can be active on a piece of armor at a time.

CONFIGURATION

A config file is generated at:
config/beacon-enchantments.json

From this file you can edit:

• Failure chance
• Durability removal percentage on failure
• XP level cost for Basic and Advanced upgrades
• Catalyst cost for Basic and Advanced upgrades
• Tier II chance for Basic and Advanced upgrades
• Weighted probability for each enchantment type
• Crafting recipes for the Augmenting Table and Catalyst

To apply recipe changes in-game, run:
/beaconenchantments reloadall

To reload other config values without restarting:
/beaconenchantments reload

SERVER COMPATIBILITY

This mod is required on both the server and all connecting clients.
Clients without the mod installed will be unable to connect to a
server running Beacon Enchantments. All enchantment effects are
applied server-side and work fully on dedicated servers.
