Overview
Welcome to Brainium, im sure you can guess what this mod aims to achieve so let me get to the details.

Brainium is an infection mod, it begins with a meteor falling from the sky which in itself does not start world infection. The brainiums are parasitic brains that need hosts to spread, they will try to form a brain master and if successful your world will begin to be infected by these parasites.

Mod Contents

These small creatures spawn randomely at night and seek out a host. They will pull in mobs into a ring where they will slowly drain the mobs to allow itself to grow.

Brain Master:
A well fed Brainium turns into this brain master, it fires lasers, destroys blocks, shoots fireballs, and more to protect the brain infection from being stopped.
Infection


Brainiums:
The Brain infection will slowly spread once a brainium can become a brain master and begin the infection. The only way to stop and reverse it is to destroy the brain master, the infection will automatically reverse itself afterwards returning your world mostly as it was.

Final Stage:
If the infection spreads for long enough, the brain master will center itself in the infected landscape and begin extracting iron from your world to reach its final form and secure the infections protection.


New Infection System:
The brainiums can now infect any mob in minecraft and any mod, they are able to corrupt mobs with this brainium infection and at the final stage the mob will be permanently allied with the brains.

New guns:
This updated new weapons have appeared and are now your new tools to fend off this ever complicating parasite.

Corruption Walker:
A new set of armor added to help fight against the brainiums. The primary feature is its defence mechanism. Upon being damaged flying crystal shards will appear to then home in on your attacker and deal damage.

New Allies:
After defeating a brain master, all brainiums in the area will be tamable with brain crystals, taming a brain now gives you an ally you can upgrade to help fight any future or recurring threats.
End/Plans
Currently I am planning to complete the player infection feature allowing players to be automatically controlled to move. Most importantly after finishing the brain hive mind behavior fully I plan to add actual infected mob models for many vanilla mobs to bring the mod to life a bit more. Id like to keep the mod small as it was primarily a project I wanted to do for fun and I do have some more mod ideas in mind too.
