DimensionCore
ModrinthWorlds & dimensions for Paper: a YAML world registry loaded on startup, safe scheduled world resets with warnings and evacuation, a lockable resettable End with a rotating outer End, Ender Dragon respawn, rewards & island protection
DimensionCore
The worlds-and-dimensions layer your server actually needs — and it deletes
world folders safely.
DimensionCore manages worlds, scheduled resets, and the End for Paper servers.
There are no runtime dependencies at all: no database, no WorldGuard, no
Multiverse, no economy plugin, no Votifier. Everything is YAML you can read, and
every word a player sees ships in English and Dutch.
🌍 Managed worlds
A YAML registry of every world your server should load, loaded as the first
startup step. Strict where it matters: a typo in an environment is an error, not
a silently generated overworld; a world whose generator plugin is missing won't
load and write vanilla chunks into your custom map; a missing folder is treated as
an error, not an excuse to make a fresh empty world.
/world list | info | create | import | load | unload | forget | tp | setspawn | spawn. One-time best-effort import of an existing Multiverse worlds.yml, so you
can drop Multiverse and keep your worlds loading.
♻️ Safe scheduled resets
One reset engine for any registered world — resource world, adventure map,
seasonal world — on a daily, weekly or monthly schedule. Countdown warnings, a
lock-and-evacuate window, and a choice of regenerate (new or kept seed) or
restore-from-template.
Safety is the headline feature, because this plugin removes folders:
- A world is deleted only if it is
resettable: trueinworlds.yml. - The primary world, its nether and its End are protected by default.
- Every path is canonicalised;
.., symlinks and anything outside the world
container are refused. - Evacuate → unload → verify the unload → path-check → delete → rebuild.
- A dry run prints exactly which world and folder would be affected; a real
reset needs--confirm. - State files stop double resets across restarts and stop a fresh install wiping a
world it just met.
🌌 The End
Lock the End shut until an announced time (or indefinitely), blocking entry by
portal, gateway, teleport and command — with a staff bypass. Reset it on a
schedule with warnings and evacuation. Optionally route the main island's gateways
into a rotating outer End that is replaced every reset. A live per-player boss
bar and floating hologram boards show whether it's open or closed.
/end status | lock | unlock | reset | reload.
🐉 The Ender Dragon
Respawn control, first-kill and slayer rewards (items, XP, or console
commands — pay money with eco give {player} 500, no economy dependency), and
protection of the main island: admin-defined cuboid regions where the dragon
can't grief and players can't mine the original terrain — but can still break
blocks they placed themselves. Plus an admin one-hit slayer sword for events.
/dragon respawn | slayer | region … | status | reload.
🔮 The Gateway End
A permanent second End the reset pipeline never touches — never reset, never
rotated, never evacuated. Unlocked per player (permission-driven by default) and
reached through a placeable keystone that opens a personal portal onto a safe
landing platform.
/gateway give | unlock | lock | tp | status | reload.
Modular & standalone
Every feature is a module you can switch on or off. worlds is the
foundation; if it's off, the dependent modules log one line and stay off rather
than half-starting. No database, no external plugin dependencies, all data in
plain YAML.
Built for Paper 26.2
Adventure boss bars, display-entity holograms, registry-based lookups, worlds
created only through Bukkit's own API — no NMS, no reflection, no version locks.
Ships with JUnit tests for the parts that matter: world-name validation, strict
environment parsing, schedule maths, countdown scheduling, cuboid containment,
reset-state bookkeeping, and the path-safety checks.
Languages
English and Dutch out of the box. Every player-facing string is in a language
file — add your own by copying one.
⚠️ This plugin deletes world folders. Read the "Safety, resets & backups"
page in the docs before enabling resets. Keep backups.
