Fluxure
ModrinthA physically based shader pack. Volumetric clouds, reflective water, colored voxel lighting with soft shadows, and much more!
Fluxure is a physically based shader pack for Iris on Minecraft Java Edition 26.3, written from scratch. It aims for skies, clouds, water and light that feel real, graded with a cinematic look of its own.
We're in Alpha! Fluxure runs and looks good, but it is still changing.
Expect rough edges, and some bugs. All looks aren't final.
Sky and atmosphere
- A physically based atmosphere: blue noons, orange sunsets, light scattering
- Volumetric clouds that drift with the wind and change shape as they travel
- Clouds that cast shadows on the land, show in reflections, and evolve with the weather
- Night skies with the Milky Way, twinkling stars, moon phases, shooting stars and auroras
- Rare sky events: meteor showers, comets, noctilucent clouds, and more
Weather
- Rain blown by the wind, falling in curtains that swing with the gusts, with splashes and wet ground that dries after the storm
- Snow that falls, settles on open ground (not under roofs) and sparkles in the sun
- Multiple variants of custom lightning
- Rainbows after rain, haze that thickens in humid air, and mist over lakes at dawn
Water
- Waves shaped by the wind, with reflections and refraction
- Water that deepens in color with depth, caustics on the bottom, and foam along the shore
- Raindrop ripples, wakes behind swimmers, boats, and entities
Light and shadow
- Colored block light from a voxel lighting system: torches glow warm, soul lanterns cyan, and lava orange
- Soft sun and moon shadows, with light through leaves and colored light through stained glass
- Light shafts through windows, trees and gaps in the clouds
- Reflective glass and metal, and labPBR resource pack support (wip, but should be working)
The Nether
- The Nether gets drifting embers and heat haze over molten lava seas
Camera and post-processing
- Auto exposure that adapts like an eye, bloom, and a film tone curve
- Four color grades: Cinematic (default), Natural, Golden Hour and Moody
Requirements
- Minecraft Java Edition 26.3
- Iris 1.11.7 and Sodium 0.9.2
- A desktop GPU with OpenGL 4.5 on Windows or Linux.
Performance
Fluxure is a medium to heavy pack, built for RTX 30 to 50 series class GPUs.
Performance is still being worked on, but it should run fine for the most part.
