Adds more realistic hunger and thirst to Minecraft, making food and water a more important factor in the game.

If you don't eat regularly...

If you set off into the desert without carrying any water...

If you subsist off nothing but bread...

... you're gonna die (or at least have a hard time)!

Hunger

An additional to vanilla hunger you also need to eat a balanced diet. Your levels of fat, protein, and vitamins decrease over time. If any of these levels fall too low you start to suffer slowness, mining fatigue, and weakness. Meat has protein and fat, vegetables have more vitamins. Bread is just empty calories, it will satiate your hunger, but doesn't provide much nutrition.

In cold climates you must burn more fat to keep warm so your fat level decreases more rapidly.

You can eat even when full to get nutrition, but there is a 5 sec cooldown if the hunger bar is full

Thirst

Hydration decreases over time. Hotter biomes make you get thirsty more quickly.

If you get too dehydrated you will die!

Rehydrate by drinking from water bottles or from natural water
by pointing the cursor at it and pressing R but drinking dirty water
makes you sick so should only be a last resort.

To stay healthy you need to drink purified water.

Smelt a water bottle (or any potion) to make a bottle of purified water.

Or even better; make a water purifier! Right click this block with an empty bottle for clean fresh H2O.
