Lodeways

This is a datapack for Minecraft 1.21.3 that lets you create an end gateway from one place to another!

Instructions for creating a lodestone gateway:

• Obtain a lodestone compass by right clicking a lodestone with a compass.
• Place an end rod with an empty space at its end. (Any direction works.)
• Right click the end rod with the compass to create an end gateway! (The compass is consumed.)

To break the gateway, simply break the end rod attached to it. If you use a recovery compass on the rod instead of a lodestone compass, it'll take you to your last death. (This updates whenever you get close.)

Lodestone gateways cannot be built in the nether, as they would otherwise deposit you on the roof. Compasses that were made before datapack installation will not work, but all compasses in your inventory will be updated whenever you set a compass target or craft a recovery compass.
