Memory SMP
ModrinthMemory SMP is a unique Minecraft SMP plugin focused on preserving player progress, memories, and achievements throughout the server's journey.
RG Memory SMP
RG_Memory_SMP is a Paper plugin for Minecraft 1.20.x that turns player survival into a memory-based progression system.
Players start with a configurable amount of memory. Deaths reduce memory, certain kills restore it, and falling into lower memory tiers disables more parts of the game. If a player reaches 0 memory, they are eliminated from the server until another player completes a revival ritual.
What It Adds
- A configurable memory system with loss on death and gain from selected kills
- Five progression tiers:
High,Medium,Low,Critical, andDanger - Automatic elimination when a player reaches
0memory - Bound player heads dropped on elimination for revival crafting
- Custom items:
Memory CrystalEcho FragmentForgotten RelicUnban Head
- A ritual-based revival system with bossbar, particles, sounds, and failure conditions
- Memory-based restrictions for potions, enchanting, anvils, Nether access, Ender Chests, villager trading, chat, brewing, and Totems of Undying
- Team-based and gradient nametags
- In-game item and recipe GUIs via
/memory items - Automatic recipe discovery in the recipe book
- Configurable Memory Crystal chest loot injection for supported structures
Gameplay Loop
- Players begin with a starting memory value.
- Death reduces memory.
- Killing players, Wardens, or Withers restores memory.
- Memory Crystals can be used to restore a larger chunk of memory.
- As memory drops, more features become restricted.
- At
0memory, the player is markedOUT, kicked, and blocked from rejoining. - Their bound head can be used to create a player-bound Forgotten Relic.
- That relic creates an Unban Head for the eliminated player.
- Place the Unban Head and protect it through the full ritual duration.
- If the ritual succeeds, the player is revived and can join again with restored memory.

Revival Ritual
The revival ritual is the core recovery mechanic.
- Only one ritual can be active at a time
- Starting a ritual broadcasts it to the whole server
- All online players can see the ritual bossbar
- The action bar shows the ritual owner, coordinates, and remaining time
- Default ritual duration is
600seconds - Successful revival restores the eliminated player to
30memory by default
By default, the ritual fails if:
- The ritual head is broken
- An explosion happens near the ritual
- The ritual owner dies
- The server restarts
If a ritual fails, the revival attempt is canceled and the head is removed. In some failure cases, a head item is dropped back into the world.
