Fabric 1.20.1 – 1.20.1 Game-mechanics

Overhauling all protection enchantments and adding new one to make the game balanced

Features added and changed:

🔰 Physical Protection (replaces vanilla protection)

  • Applies only to physical hits (melee damage, fall damage).

  • Default: 5.25% per level.

  • Caps at 75% total reduction.

  • Items with Physical Protection can’t be destroyed by cactus when dropped.

🔥 Fire Protection

  • Reduces fire, lava, and burning damage.

  • Default: 6.25% per level, max 87%.

  • Items with Fire Protection are immune to being destroyed by fire/lava.

💥 Blast Protection

  • Reduces explosion damage (creepers, TNT, beds, respawn anchors).

  • Default: 6% per level, max 85%.

  • Items with Blast Protection can’t be destroyed by explosions.

🏹 Projectile Protection

  • Reduces arrow, trident, ghast fireball, and other projectile damage.

  • Projectile Protection II (+) will ricochet, higher level = higher damage.

  • Default: 5.5% per level, max 78%.

🧙 Magic Protection (new enchantment)

  • Protects against magic damage: Instant Damage potions, Wither skulls, Evoker fangs, etc.

  • Default: 6% per level, capped at 80%.

  • Registers like a vanilla enchant

Note: This mod is kinda unbalanced, you can change whatever you want in the config.
