Acknowledgements

Over the past few years, I haven't been updating Sofron Pack oCd, because life had something far more important in store for me. During that time, my wife Marta was expecting our child, and together we spent countless wonderful moments both in real life and in the worlds we created in Minecraft. A year ago, our amazing son, Mikołaj, was born and changed our lives forever.

Whenever Mikołaj fell asleep, Marta and I would often return to our Minecraft world and continue our adventures together. During Marta's pregnancy and throughout our son's first months of life, I simply didn't have the time to work on textures. Yet throughout that entire period, the idea for a new resource pack was quietly growing in my mind, taking shape little by little.

I finally began working on this project on Mikołaj's first birthday. For that reason, I dedicate this resource pack to my family — my wife Marta and my son Mikołaj. They have always been, and will always remain, my greatest inspiration, my motivation, and my source of strength. Thank you for everything.

About

These textures were created with the goal of bringing back the magical feeling of old Minecraft versions in a modern Minecraft environment. It isn't an easy task, but I hope you'll enjoy the experience and rediscover some of the charm that made Minecraft so special.

The goal was to preserve the atmosphere of Minecraft's golden age while refining it for a modern audience. I wanted the resource pack to feel a little strange, stylized, and dreamlike rather than realistic — capturing the mysterious charm that made early Minecraft so memorable.

Dark lighting, star-filled skies, and strong visual contrast play a major role in creating that mood. At the same time, I wanted to avoid making the pack feel overly harsh, amateurish, or exhausting to look at. The challenge was to find a balance between nostalgia and modern design.

To achieve this, I incorporated many elements inspired by newer versions of the game: more expressive animal models, numerous 3D block models such as rails and doors, subtle emissive textures that glow at night, and countless small details that make the world feel more alive.

The result is a resource pack that aims to capture the spirit of old Minecraft while embracing the creativity, depth, and visual richness of the modern game.
