MegaStocks

MegaStocks is a huge Paper Minecraft economy plugin that adds fake Bitcoin mining, stock trading, hardware upgrades, server rooms, machines, area monitors, security systems, player gifting, admin economy controls, and optional hacking gameplay.

Build your own mining empire, upgrade machines with GPUs/CPUs/RAM, manage power and cooling, trade stocks, protect your fake BTC, and compete with other players in a server-friendly economy system.

MegaStocks is designed for servers that want a big economy/mining/stock-market plugin without needing mods or custom clients.

MegaStocks uses fake in-game Bitcoin and fake in-game stocks.

Main Features

Fake Bitcoin Mining

Players can buy and place mining machines that generate fake BTC over time.

Machines can have different stats, prices, power usage, heat output, and mining speed.

Players can:

• Place mining machines
• Collect fake BTC
• Sell fake BTC for Vault money
• Upgrade machines
• Install hardware
• Repair machines
• Pick up machines
• Steal machines if enabled by admins

Hardware System

MegaStocks includes a hardware upgrade system inspired by real computer/server parts.

Players can install hardware into supported machines, such as:

• GPUs
• CPUs
• RAM
• Motherboards
• PSUs
• Storage drives
• Network parts
• Cooling parts
• Modules

Hardware can affect machine performance, power usage, heat, security, mining output, and other stats.

Bedrock/Geyser players can also use command-based hardware management if inventory clicking behaves differently.

Stock Market

MegaStocks includes a full stock market system.

Players can buy and sell fake stocks using in-game economy money.

The stock market includes:

• Paged stock menus
• Multiple stock symbols
• Stock price movement
• Portfolio tracking
• Stock buying and selling
• Admin-created server stocks
• Admin stock price controls

Admins can create and control server stocks.

Example admin commands:

• /mega admin stock create <symbol> <price> <name>
• /mega admin stock set <symbol> <price>
• /mega admin stock remove <symbol>
• /mega set stock <symbol> <price>

Players cannot create stocks yet. Server/admin-created stocks only.

Bitcoin Code System

Players can create a private fake Bitcoin code using:

• /code
• /code set <code>
• /code reset <oldCode> <newCode>

The code is only shown to the player who owns it.

Players need to set up their code before using some mining systems. This adds a security/progression layer to the fake BTC economy.

The plugin also includes an expensive Bitcoin USB item that acts like a high-value Bitcoin security/storage item.

Security System

Players can protect their fake BTC using security-related items and upgrades.

Security items include things like:

• Hardware security keys
• Cold storage drives
• VPN/security devices
• Firewalls
• Honeypot servers
• Wallet security modules
• Zero-trust security upgrades

Higher security makes it harder for other players to successfully hack fake BTC.

Optional Hacking System

MegaStocks includes an optional hacking system.

By default, hacking is OFF.

Admins can control hacking with:

• /mega hacking status
• /mega hacking on
• /mega hacking off
• /mega hacking toggle

When enabled, players can attempt to hack other players’ fake BTC, but it is intentionally very difficult. Strong hacking requires expensive hardware, huge power, high heat output, and strong progression.

This system is meant for servers that want competitive economy gameplay.

Areas and Monitors

MegaStocks supports player-created areas.

Players can make areas such as:

• Mining rooms
• Server rooms
• Bank vaults
• Stock floors
• Hacker labs
• Power rooms
• Cooling rooms

Area commands include:

• /mega area list
• /mega area create <name>
• /mega area set <name>
• /mega area clear
• /mega area delete <name>
• /mega area assign <name>
• /mega area monitor <name|all>

Machines can be assigned to areas, and monitors can show stats for specific areas.

Area monitors can show things like:

• Power use
• Cooling
• Heat
• BTC output
• Top power users
• Top heat makers
• Machine status

Power, Cooling, and Wires

MegaStocks includes a server-room style power and cooling system.

Players can place wires, cooling blocks, coolant pipes, and power support items to improve an area.

The system is designed to be easy to use:

• No complicated redstone required
• No manual wire linking required
• Wires and cooling blocks help the area they are placed in
• Server-friendly calculation system

Cooling and power are handled in a performance-conscious way so the plugin does not create unnecessary lag.

Machine Pickup and Stealing

Players can pick up their machines using:

• /mega pickup

The command checks the machine the player is looking at or nearby, which is useful for Java and Bedrock/Geyser players.

Admins can choose whether players can steal other players’ machines.

Stealing settings:

• Can be enabled or disabled
• Can notify the owner when a machine is stolen
• Can be controlled by admins/ops

Stealing commands:

• /mega stealing status
• /mega stealing on
• /mega stealing off
• /mega stealing toggle

Player Gifting

Players can gift fake BTC, stocks, or held plugin items.

Gift commands include:

• /gift bitcoin <player> <amount>
• /gift stock <player> <symbol> <shares>
• /gift item <player> [amount]

This makes trading between players easier.

Admin Economy Controls

MegaStocks includes strong admin tools for server owners and staff.

Admins can control:

• Bitcoin price
• Stock prices
• Machine prices
• Hardware prices
• Player fake BTC balances
• Server stock creation
• Hacking toggle
• Stealing toggle

These tools are made so server staff can balance the economy without editing files constantly.

Anti-Exploit Protection

MegaStocks includes protection to stop players from abusing plugin items as vanilla materials.

MegaStocks items are blocked from:

• Vanilla crafting
• Crafter blocks
• Smithing tables
• Furnaces
• Brewing stands
• Anvils
• Grindstones
• Stonecutters
• Looms
• Hopper-fed conversion inventories

This helps stop players from using plugin items to get vanilla resources unfairly.

MegaStocks also avoids using dangerous or rare vanilla blocks as machine bodies.

The plugin does not use:

• Dragon Egg
• End Portal
• End Portal Frame
• Netherite blocks/items as machine bodies

Geyser / Bedrock Support

MegaStocks is a Java Paper plugin, but it is designed to be friendly for Bedrock players joining through Geyser.

Bedrock players can join through Geyser on a Java Paper server.

Performance Design

MegaStocks is designed with large servers in mind.

The plugin avoids expensive per-machine ticking and uses centralized simulation logic instead.

Performance-focused design:

• No constant per-machine repeating tasks
• No required custom mobs
• No heavy particle spam
• Paged stock menus
• Area-based calculations

• Hacking calculations only run when used

This helps keep servers closer to 20 TPS compared to plugins that run heavy logic every tick.
