Spirit of the Harvest Moon is an atmospheric horror-event mod for Minecraft based on the popular show “Courage the Cowardly Dog”. It turns the full moon into something players will learn to fear.
This is not a farming expansion in the usual sense. Farming is only the ritual language the Spirit uses. The real focus of the mod is the event itself: a moonlit encounter with a mysterious entity that appears, speaks, judges the player, and changes the tone of the entire night.

The Harvest Moon Event

On full moon nights, players standing beneath the open sky may attract the attention of the Spirit of the Harvest Moon. When the event begins, the world becomes tense. The Spirit descends from above, custom sounds begin to play, the player is briefly paralyzed, and the camera is forced toward the entity as it makes its arrival.
The encounter is designed to feel like a scripted supernatural moment rather than a normal mob spawn. The Spirit has dialogue, mouth animation, ambience, phases, and consequences depending on how the player responds.

The Spirit
The Spirit of the Harvest Moon is a custom entity built around presence and pressure. It does not simply appear and attack immediately. Instead, it arrives as part of a ritual.
After descending, the Spirit demands an offering: a simple crop such as wheat, carrot, potato, pumpkin, melon, or beetroot. The offering is easy to understand, but the tension comes from the deadline. You must bring the correct item before midnight.

Possible Offerings:

If the offering is accepted, the Spirit acknowledges the player and vanishes peacefully.
If the offering is rejected or time runs out, the night changes.
Failure Has Consequences
Failing the ritual can trigger a hostile hunt. The Spirit becomes dangerous, stalking players through the night with smoke, hostile sounds, darkness, slowness, and wither effects. What began as a quiet full moon encounter becomes a survival threat until sunrise.
In multiplayer, the event can place pressure on more than one player, turning the full moon into a shared server-wide moment instead of a private encounter.
