You can use this Resource Pack without the plugin by the same name, but it is reccomended.

How to have a card with the custom model

Type in the chat /give @s paper[minecraft:item_model="tradingcards:card"] and you'll get a paper item with the model of a blank card.

You are allowed, as this resource pack is and will forever be under the Public Domain, and encouraged to download and edit the RP to your fitting (and your trading cards customization on the plugin!).
