TrapPvP

A complete Trap PvP game mode for Paper servers. Players buy trap areas, protect them with trap health, raid other traps with throwable Trap TNT and team up in parties.

Features

Traps

• Chunk based trap areas created by admins with a selection wand (always full world height)
• Buy traps from a GUI, put your own trap up for sale or cancel the sale
• Trap health: members deposit money as health (1 money = 1 health)
• When an outsider hits a member inside their own trap, the trap loses health (normal, critical and sweep damage are configurable)
• At 0 health the trap collapses, all members are removed and it goes back on sale (server-wide announcement)
• Optional daily tax taken from trap health at a configurable time and time zone
• Hierarchical ranks (Member, Assistant, Moderator, Manager, Owner) with configurable permissions for building, containers, doors, buttons and more
• Trap home, announcements, invites, kicks, ownership transfer, renaming and info screen

Trap TNT

• Throwable TNT that only damages trap blocks, with a hologram showing damage and countdown
• Configurable block regeneration (container contents are kept), crash safe
• Unbreakable block list, explosion power, fuse time and cooldown are configurable

Parties

• Create, invite, kick, promote/demote, party chat, transfer and disband
• Upgradeable party capacity (costs money)
• /ptp teleport to party members with countdown and sounds, cancelled on movement or damage
• Friendly fire disabled for party and trap members

Combat and protection

• Spawn area with PvP disabled
• PvPManager support: combat tagged players see a red glass wall (client side only) at the spawn border and are pushed back
• Protections against chest stealing, arrows pressing buttons, pets/potions/crystals in spawn and more

Scoreboard and placeholders

• Built-in scoreboard with separate "in trap" and "outside" layouts
• PlaceholderAPI placeholders: %trappvp_trap_*%, %trappvp_party_*%, %trappvp_here_*%, %trappvp_top_<type>_<n>_<name|value>% and more
• Leaderboards (richest traps, party kills, daily kills...)

Other

• English and Turkish messages included, add your own language easily
• English and Turkish commands both work (for example /trap deposit and /trap yatır)
• New settings are added to your config files automatically when you update
• SQLite (default) or MySQL storage with async writes

Requirements

• Paper (or a fork such as Purpur) 1.21 - 1.21.11, Java 21
• Vault and an economy plugin (for example EssentialsX)
• Optional: PlaceholderAPI, PvPManager (free version), EssentialsX (balance top)

Setup

1. Put the jar in your plugins folder and restart the server
2. Set trap-world in config.yml and choose your language (en or tr)
3. Select the spawn area with /trapspawn wand and save it with /trapspawn save
4. Create traps with /trap wand and /trap save <id>
5. Disable other scoreboard plugins if you use the built-in scoreboard

Note: the plugin works in a single trap world. Blocks outside traps and spawn can only be changed by OPs, so use a region plugin if you need other build areas (for example mines).
