DiscordChat

DiscordChat is a plugin which links your Minecraft server chat to a Discord channel in your Discord server. Instead of using a bot to send out the messages, it uses a
webhook. This way it can use the players username and their skin as the avatar. A bot is still used to receive the messages on the Discord and forward them to the Minecraft server.








For global events like players joining, leaving or dying it uses a global username and avatar which can be changed in the config file.

Because it uses the webhook system, the plugin takes only a minute to setup and it's very easy to use and tweak.




This plugin supports both Spigot/Bukkit and BungeeCord servers!




Plugin setup:

1. Insert a webhook URL linked to the channel you want the chat to display in the config.yml file. Read this post about how to create webhooks. You do NOT have to upload an avatar and you can name the webhook whatever you want, the plugin is not going to use that name and avatar.
2. Create a new application here (Press "New Application")
3. Give it a name and then go the "Bot" tab on the left side
4. Then click "Add Bot" and confirm.
   
5. Press 'click to reveal' and copy the token to your config.yml file.
6. Go to
   Code (Text):

   https://discordapp.com/oauth2/authorize?client_id=YOUR-CLIENT-ID-HERE&permissions=11264&scope=bot
   (Make sure to replace YOUR-CLIENT-ID-HERE with your client id which can be found on the general tab).
7. On this page, select your server and press Authorize
8. Make sure the bot has permissions to send and manage messages in the channel that you want to use him in.
   
9. Restart or reload your server
